What to expect from an investigation
The following explains what a typical investigation entails. It will give you a better idea of what to expect when we arrive. If you have any questions, call Margaret Williams (615) 268-3197 or email us at BenchBreakingBroads@gmail.com
Before we arrive: You will receive a phone call from one of our investigators who will go over our pre-investigation questionnaire and will confirm the best day and time for us to come. We typically spend a minimum of 4 hours at your location. Please do not ‘invite guests’, friends or relatives to come by (fewer people on site will allow us to better control the environment for the sake of audio contamination).
When we get there: Typically 3-4 members of our team will arrive at your location. Investigation permission forms and client confidentiality forms are signed before going any further. Equipment will be unloaded and brought inside. The owner(s) and/or witnesses will be asked to give us a tour of the location pointing out areas of interest or where paranormal activity has taken place. During the tour, we will take pictures, set out the equipment that we feel will be needed in a space and perform an EMF sweep using an EMF detector. An EMF detector reads electric and magnetic frequencies as well as temperature. The theory is that any unusual spikes of EMF indicate that a spirit or entity is trying to manifest. Appliances or faulty wiring throughout the home can emit high EMF readings. Performing an EMF sweep helps us determine a baseline reading before the investigation to eliminate any false readings.
The Actual Investigation: We use audio and video recorders as well as various types paranormal equipment. Here is a video explaining all of our equipment: www.facebook.com/1065078563/videos/10220871412509497/
We will ask the owners to participate if they are comfortable doing so.
After the Investigation: Anything we find, whether it be paranormal, or not, will be shared with the client. Copies will be provided free of charge on CD or sent via email at the owners request. Our confidentiality agreement will be enforced.
